Non National Emergency Cancellation & Your Payment:
- Please read what we’ve sent to you, it will help you prepare for a great experience! We are not responsible for anything, “you chose not to read, somehow missed, forgot, or didn’t understand and failed to ask us about before booking your reservation,” as provided to you in conversation or in writing in our website, intro email or Paypal invoice. By the time you have paid your invoice, you have already received in writing the most detailed service description, weather advisory and safety information provided to consumers by any tour company at Lake Tahoe.
- We must have an online liability release from each participant immediately or at latest within 48 hours of receiving your payment. No release no refund.
- It is the booking party’s responsibility to send the following link to all participants: tahoehikingtours.com/liability and have them complete the release for themselves and minors in their custody
- We do not complete online liability releases at the meeting place. Limited mobile service, we are not going to ask the other participants in your group to wait while you drive miles away to get a mobile signal to complete the online release
- If you arrive at the meeting place without having completed the release you will not be able to participate and there is NO REFUND

- All refunds are less 5% for the Paypal refund processing fee
- No refund issued within 15 days of reservation
- 45% refunded from 16-21 or more days of reservation
- 95% refunded 22 or more days in advance
- All cancellations must be made by email, NOT phone call, text or social media.
- No refunds for cancellations or changes during holiday weekends or week (regardless of #1, 2 above). July 4 week and weekend, Thanksgiving week and weekend, Christmas week and weekend, New Years Week and weekend, Presidents Day Week and Weekend, Spring Break (last two weeks in March) Easter week and weekend.
- No refunds for participants who refuse for any reason, to complete an online release of liability agreement. The release of liability agreement is provided to the booking party at the time of reservation. Tahoe Hiking Tours is not responsible for mobile phone network issues at the resort or meeting spot. Please complete release at home or in your hotel.
- Missed meetings. Mobile phone service may NOT be available at our meeting place. It is the client’s responsibility to know the exact meeting place and to be there on time. There are no refunds for missed meetings including no mobile phone service and no available parking (leave early). If you have questions be sure you alert us no later than the night before your reservation. We send Google Map links to our exact meeting place and call the night before to make sure you know where we are meeting. Please check the Google Map link we provide the day before you are scheduled to meet us.
- No refunds due to weather.
- No refunds for those who are unwilling to participate in the tour.
- It is each participant’s responsibility to check the weather and to wear appropriate clothing and boots that will prevent hiking injuries. See: What to Do You Bring.
- No refunds for those who become ill/incapacitated before or during the hike.
- A reservation may be changed or transferred to a future date if there is availability with no fee if the request is made at least 48 hours prior to the lesson start date. If the request is made less than 48 hours prior to the start of the lesson there will be a $50 administrative fee.
- For no-shows the full amount of the tour will be charged and no refund will be given. Requests to cancel a tour after the start of that tour will be considered a no-show.
- Cancellations the day of will be charged the entire cost of the tour. No exceptions.
- You are responsible to arrive on time and provide your own transportation to reach our meeting spot depending on road condition/requirements.

- We do not issue a refund if you do not see wildlife
